Vice-Mayor Robert Rojas was elected to the Nogales City Council in November 2014 and began his 4-year term in January 2015. Mr. Rojas previously served two terms on the Nogales City Council from 1993 to 1996. He also served one term on the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors from 1997 to 2000. He has been involved in the community through the Nogales Lion's Club, Arizona Youth Soccer Organization, Little League, and youth football.

Vice-Mayor Rojas taught at the Nogales Unified School District for 35 years. He graduated from Nogales High School in 1972 and later received his Bachelor degree in Education from Arizona State University in 1979.

Vice-Mayor Rojas is married and has nine children.
