Mayor John F. Doyle was elected as the Mayor for the City of Nogales on November 4, 2014, and started his four-year term on January 1, 2015. Prior to being elected Mayor, Mr. Doyle served on the Nogales City Council since May 2013. Mayor Doyle serves as the senior vice-commander for American Legion Post 23 Ridge IGO and served previously as the post commander. He is a senior vice-commander and trustee of the VFW Post 2066, chancellor commander of the Nogales Knights of Pythias Lodge 13, deputy grand knight of Council 1784 of Columbus and former grand knight for three terms.
Mayor Doyle retired from the US Postal Service and previously worked as an armed guard at the Nogales International Wastewater Treatment Plant and inspector at Arizona Department of Agriculture. He received an honorable discharge from the US Army Air Missile Defense Systems. He is a graduate of Nogales High School and received an associate of arts in general studies from Pima Community College.
